The Madhya Pradesh Police through the Training Branch and the MP Police Academy has initiated the concept of evidence based police policy and practice which required an institutionalization of action based research and analytical approach in practice and innovations.

The Research activities are based on the concept of Values, Rights and Public Service Oriented Policing and Police Capacity Building. The aim is to envision police leaders and practitioners who must develop value and orientation towards serving the most under served and build up ethos for law enforcement for addressing all kinds of vulnerabilities. The Research and Innovations are designed to have wider applicability in rights education, sensitization and ethical orientation and adherence to public accountability through rights mainstreaming and law enforcement outcomes in a democracy.
